Oversized knits are so chic and are always in style. I absolutely love this blue flannel poncho. Normally I would pair it with a dress and long boots, however, the weather in New York would NOT permit that! It was freezing. On this particular day, I decided to take Camila for a walk. My husband Field took our son Field Christian to a candy store, so us girls were ready to shop! Luckily our hotel was pretty central to everything, so we walked a few blocks to some of our favorite shops and then headed back before we made too much damage. We didn’t walk too far only because she was tired, and I was in pumps! LOL
Wearing a poncho is probably the closest I will come to dressing like a superhero. The long cape blew in the wind behind us as we made our way to run errands. Ponchos are so warm and the perfect thing to wear when you are on the go. I am always freezing on flights, so I wore it again on our flight home! I love how soft this piece is. It’s like wearing a blanket at all times. The hood also is a great feature to help fight the wind from ruining your hair! I wore a beanie from point A to point B to keep warm and finish the overall look. It gives it a street style feeling without trying too hard!
Ponchos usually have a way of hiding your shape, so it is always best to add a bit of balance to the look. Since the main piece is so bohemian and loose, it is great to pair it with something that is a little more fitted. I paired it with an all black ensemble. I had my favorite crossbody and was out the door!
To me, I feel like ponchos look great on all shapes and sizes. Trust me when I say that I will be living in this poncho IF I ever get pregnant again! 😉
Camila had a blast and fell asleep on the way home. I guess this poncho really does have super powers!
