I recently made a trip to New York to go to New York Fashion Week. I had been invited to a few shows, so my husband and I decided to make a family trip out of it. I was so honored to be able to attend the latest show for one of my favorite brands: Alice and Olivia. I have always been a fan of Stacey Bendet’s designs. She has always been such an inspiration to me. She has a distinct and eclectic style that I admire! Stacey has conquered the fashion world because of her strong work ethic and incredible taste for color!
This year’s show was quite the experience! Instead of it being a five minute show where the models walk up and down the runway, it was a spectacular set up where guests can mingle and look at all the latest designs. Models were staged on elevated platforms that were adorned with curtains and amazing rugs. I was so happy I got to experience the show with my fabulous friend Laurie Graham! While getting ready, I knew I wanted to wear one of my favorite Alice and Olivia pieces:a bedazzled bomber jacket. I paired it with this leather skirt and some of my favorite patent leather boots. It was FREEZING during Fashion Week, so this fur coat went with me practically everywhere. Everyone that attended shows was wearing a huge coat on top of their outfit. Once inside, it was easy to take it off and enjoy yourself! I can’t wait to go back to fashion week in September! Hopefully it will be warmer!
