fearless |ˈfɪəlɪs| adjective showing a lack of fear: she was fearless.

I hate fear, and I hate what it does to those who are overcome by it.

I have met so many incredible women with a passion for life and a drive to pursue a purpose that will change our world for the better.

But nothing saddens me more than when I see strong women allowing their fears to get the best of them–getting stuck in a place where they feel crippled and unable to move forward.

Stories of passion and purpose are choked out when fear takes over. Dreams are destroyed and hopes are crushed. Fear can be devastating.

I know that life can be difficult, and that fear gets the best of all of us at times. But we have to learn what to do when we come face to face with fear so that we can overcome it, in Jesus’ Name!

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and a self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

God didn’t intend for us to be fearful when He created us. He created us to trust Him, and His plan for our lives.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

If we really believe what the Bible says, then we have no reason to fear what challenges and trials come our way in this life. God promises to take care of all of our needs in Matthew 6:34. Not just some–ALL! If you’ve been following Christ for any amount of time, you’ll know this to be true. When we seek first the Kingdom of God and live righteously (seeking God and being obedient to His commands), He provides for ALL of our needs. His Word is true!

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:33-34

Valentine’s Day has passed, and some of my single girlfriends are worried that they will be single forever. But let me remind you, God cares about every detail of your life. Do you believe this? If choosing a life partner is the second most important decision you’ll ever make in your life, then don’t you think God has that taken care of for you?

His timing is perfect. I know this to be true in my own life–with meeting Field, having children, God’s provision in business and in everyday miracles. God is faithful. We need to learn to trust Him and His timing.

“For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

When we have a problem with fear, we really have a problem with trust. Your fears reveal the places in your heart where you do not trust God.

Do you have a fear of the future? Do you fear the unknown? Do you have a fear of failure, or a deep fear of being rejected?

Give those fears to God today, and choose to trust in Him because of His great love for you.

God has such an incredible calling on your life! Please don’t allow your fears to get the best of you or your future. Your future belongs to God. Claim His peace, His purpose, and His provision over your life today and say, “NO” to fear, forever!

Live fearlessly – it looks beautiful on you!
