SHEER GOWN

Field and I were recently invited to attend a black tie event with a friend. While getting prepared it dawned on me that guys have it so easy.  All they have to do is buy or rent a great fitting tuxedo and they are good to go! Guys can wear the same tux to these events all of their lives and they will still look great.  That is so not the case for us ladies.

Finding the right dress can be hard and tedious. I wanted to wear something that would make a statement on its own without having to wear a lot of jewelry. When I saw this dress online, I knew it would be perfect for the occasion. Field would be in his nice tux and I would wear this gown. Perfect combo!

The beaded design on the gown makes the dress look so elegant while still being on a budget. Normally I like to wear form fitting clothes that compliment your figure.  However, this dress was so pretty, I had to try it. The bottom part is sheer, but with the beaded details, you couldn’t really tell how sheer it actually was. The dress came with a flesh tone bottoms to wear underneath. They matched the dress exactly.

My friend Leti Lackey made these dangly earrings for me. This was the perfect occasion to wear her design!

This dress is a little long for me.  I paired it with the highest nude pumps that I owned.

For my hair; a simple updo was the right way to go.  It made this sweet sheer gown have a little edge to it and gave it a younger vibe! Sometimes, simplicity is best.

Whenever you have the opportunity to dress up, do it!
