Happy New Year everyone! How did you spend the last few moments of 2016?  After we put our kids to bed, Field and I went to a pajama party at a friend’s home! Also, ever since we started dating, we have made it a tradition to go to the Potter’s House New Years service. What better way to bring in the new year than to spend it worshipping Jesus!? It’s always such a beautiful experience and leaves us feeling energized and full of faith for the upcoming year!

Seeing that we went to a pajama party, I knew that I would have to find some pajamas that would be acceptable to wear out in public after the party.  I love the silk pajama trend that I have seen people wear recently.  It is inspired by the loungewear of the 20’s and Coco Chanel. However, instead of only wearing your pajamas in your home, girls everywhere have taken this look to the streets.

This look is so comfortable and easy to wear with the right accessories. You can dress it up in the evening and make it dramatic with a bold red lip or smokey eye.  During the day, you can make it more casual by putting your hair in a topknot and wearing sneakers. Throw on a huge coat like this over and you are good to go!

I wore this look with simple heels and my hair down. The look itself is bold and makes a statement on its own!

If you are not comfortable committing to wearing pajamas in public, simply wear one of these pieces separately and not all together.  Try on an oversized lounge shirt tucked into your favorite pair of jeans. From what I notice, silk loungewear is so cute and perfect for layering!

I will leave a few options for you to play around with below!  Enjoy!

Sabrina
