her |həː, hə| pronoun 1 used as the object of a verb or preposition to refer to a female person mentioned or easily identified: She shared her story.

I always look forward to spending the first Wednesday of the month with some of my closest girlfriends–sharing prayer requests, personal stories, reports of God’s faithfulness and being encouraged by the Biblical truth we are reading and studying that week at our Equipped by Faith women’s fellowship.

This month, our guest speaker was Kat Armstrong from Houston, Texas. Kat is a beautiful communicator, writer, non-profit director, entrepreneur, pastor’s wife and mother to an adorable three year old named, Caleb.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kat when I spoke at one of her non-profit women’s events called, Polished last February. Polished is a community of young professional women who gather together each month for community and fellowship. The monthly luncheons feature inspiring guest speakers, and I always look forward to attending each month!

Last night, Kat brought an incredible word called, “God with Us” that touched and inspired every life in the room. She walked us through story after story in the Bible where it proves and shows that God is always “with us”.

One thing that stood out to me the most is that God is With You, Until the Very End.
Many of us feel orphaned in our circumstances right now. If all hell seems to be breaking loose in your life, and you feel left alone by God just know that God cannot and will not ever leave us. He is the “with us” God. From Genesis to Revelation, He is there–from beginning to the end!

“Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:3-7

I took the liberty of asking Kat to answer a few questions regarding her personal walk with God that I hope encourages you!

Enjoy!

1) What do you think you were put on this earth for? What’s your biggest dream in life?
God made me to teach the bible. My biggest dream is to teach, write and speak so that the Spirit of God inspires people to seek God on their own.

2) What are some of the obstacles that you have had to go through to get to the point you are at now?
Just the usual broken heart, doubt, loneliness, over worked pains that all people face. But the most significant has been the fear of failure.

3) What motivates/inspires you?
It’s cliche but the Word of God really inspires me. When I read the stories of faithful men and women of God I am motivated and inspired to continue on in my own faith.

4) What do you want to be remembered by?
Love. The kind of love that makes everyone feel human and unique. The kind of love that inspires everyone to take the next right step towards God. The kind of love that makes folks interested in my God.

5) What advice you would give other women searching for their purpose, passion & faith?
Put as much effort into your faith as you would online shopping. When I loose myself on Amazon or dig into the specs of new clothing I really get after it. I’m into the details and reviews and measurements. I carefully study, thoughtfully compare and sometimes spend more time that planned. What if we approached our time in Bible study the way we do our online shopping?

6) What has been your greatest achievement in life?
A few years ago I let go of the anxiety that comes with the fear of failure. It has been the single greatest achievement of my life. This achievement is still a work in progress. Every once in a while it re-appears and I have to re-apply what I have learned.

7) How does what you do reflect ministry, what God placed on your heart to share with the world?
By God’s grace I have the honor of investing in the lives of young professional women through Polished. We gather young professional women in their 20’s and 30’s though four chapters (Austin, Dallas, Ft Worth, North Dallas) to navigate career and explore faith together. Calling and fulfillment are tender topics for women. We have many constraints on our time and face many obstacles in our society. Many of us are longing to do something with more meaning or enjoying a meaningful job but need to make ends meet. So it with great appreciation of God’s grace that I can say I love my job. It’s my dream job.

8) What books are you reading?
I just finished Neither Complementarian or Egalitarian by Lee-Barnewall and I’m about to start My Beloved Brothers and Sisters by Reidar Aasgaard. But you can find me re-reading and skimming all of Dr. Brene Brown’s books often.

9) How do you stay encouraged and faith filled?
The first hour of my work week is spent in prayer and it’s the fuel to my faith. Every week I want to skip it or I’ve got calls coming in that remind me time is so limited. But I’ve found that sacred hour is the most important part of my week.

10) Favorite Scripture of the moment?
“Look! I am making everything new.”- Revelation 21:5

We are seeing amazing things happen each month at Equipped by Faith with the special ladies who attend. Prayers are being answered and people are being healed. Often times, the prayer requests and testimonies of God’s faithfulness last twice as long as the message does–and I am completely fine with that!

I love seeing that God is moving in our midst. When you make space for Him to move, He will always show up in a big way. I see it each month in the lives of these ladies!

I hope you were as encouraged by Kat’s word as I was. Praying for each of you today as you rest in the goodness of the God that is “with you” always. He loves you more than you will ever know!

XO-
