fair 2 |fɛː| noun 1 a gathering of stalls and amusements for public entertainment.2 a periodic gathering for the sale of goods : A day at the fair.

Last week on Friday, Field completely surprised our family by dropping everything from his busy schedule to take us to the Texas State Fair.

I love family days, and I love the fair. Our family, along with my brother, mom, nephew and a few friends, went to have fun and explore!

I don’t know who had more fun–baby Field or big Field! It was such a delight to see them both laughing and having the time of their lives. We all went on multiple rides, ate way too much food and went into probably every house of mirrors that exists.

Baby Field really enjoyed his Fletcher’s World Famous Cornydog.  My favorite dish was a simple grilled corn on the cob. It was so delicious and I didn’t have to worry about the calories!

The calories from all the food I ate probably didn’t matter anyway, because chasing my kids around was a workout in itself. We all had an amazing time and decided to go again! This next time, our nephew Christopher was able to join us! The boys had to dress alike. It’s the unspoken rule around here! We had a blast.  They played so many games in hopes of winning prizes. Field won a stuffed elephant for Camila that has quickly become her new favorite toy! He’s such a good older brother.

You should plan on coming to the State Fair of Texas next year!  It’s a guaranteed good time!

Texas forever!
