A Trip To Mayakoba

Every Valentines Day, my husband and I take a romantic getaway with one of our favorite travel couples, Brian and Chrissy. In the past we have visited Napa Valley, Las Vegas, Aspen, and St Thomas/St John. This year, for our 5th anniversary Valentines vacation, we went to Mayakoba, MX and I must say, I absolutely love it. Most people have never heard of it. If you have the opportunity, I urge you to visit this beautiful resort.

The flight was relatively short and nonstop which I always prefer. You are automatically greeted with a beautiful landscape that takes your breath away. I photographed many aspects of this trip, but trust me, they do not do them justice. I firmly believe that Mexico’s Riviera Maya (or Mayan Riviera), is one of the world’s great travel destinations.

The experience in Mayakoba is so luxurious. We stayed at the Rosewood Mayakoba. Here, guests are taken to their rooms on a boat through connections of canals and lagoons. It was so romantic.

Mayakoba is a place with many attractions. There are stunning Mayan ruins to visit, as well as guided trips to take you through beautiful ancient cities such as, Tulum.

My husband and I loved visiting the 7th Wonder of the World, Chichen Itza. This masterpiece of architecture is amazing. It’s incredible how the Maya people were able to build these pyramids over a thousand years ago. This trip is truly one I will never forget.

I encourage you to take a baby free trip and spend some quality time with the love of your life. This can also be a great honeymoon destination.   Cheers to making memories!
