The Holy Land

My husband and I visited the Holy Land of Israel with friends from Trinity Church in Cedar Hill in March 2014. As a Christian, a Jerusalem pilgrimage had been something I had dreamt of!  Israel is where the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ took place. This trip allowed the Bible to comes alive like never before and provided true insight into the history, culture, and people of biblical times. This was an unforgettable spiritual journey with so many emotions, excitement and adventure!

My faith was strengthened as we relived the stories of the Bible in the very places where they took place. We explored Ein Gedi, the Garden of Gethsemane, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Jerusalem and many other beautiful parts of Israel. Jerusalem, the capital city of Israel, has attracted millions of people over thousands of years and holds the privilege of being the “world’s holiest city”. The history, culture, arts, music, theatre, and architecture of Israel are truly magical, and are sure to provide you with a wonderful introduction to the rich Christian heritage of Israel. This experience has blessed me forever!

One of these pictures is from a special, beautiful moment on the SEA OF GALILEE in Israel. This is where many of Jesus’ miracles occurred, including His walking on water, calming the storm and feeding 5000 people. It flows into the Jordan River where my husband and I were baptized.

I encourage you to plan a trip to Israel! You will never read the Bible the same way again.

Be blessed!
