RED, WHITE, AND BLUE
Happy 4th of July everyone! I absolutely love this holiday! It’s a time to get together with our closest family and friends and celebrate our nation’s freedom. Now, location is key when it comes to styling your outfit. Whether you’re attending a family barbecue, heading to the pool, or snuggling with bae during the annual firework show, the Fourth of July is all about showing off your patriotic pride.
This year, we are inviting all of our family over for a barbecue. We live so close to the city, and so it is the perfect spot to watch the fabulous firework show that Dallas hosts every year! While putting an outfit together, I wanted to make it easy and fun. Of course, I wanted to layer on the red, white, and blue. I found this dress on Tobi’s website and knew it would be great for such an occasion. The exposed shoulders and shorter hemline make this dress perfect for several different outings. Normally, with bodycon dresses like this, people tend to throw on a pair of heels and hit the town. However, I wanted to dress it down by wearing my favorite sneakers. (I can’t imagine chasing my babies around in heels at a family barbecue!)
I think everyone needs a great denim jacket in their closet. I stole this from my husband and wrapped it around my waist. I wanted an oversized jacket because the dress is so fitted. Also, whenever we are indoors, Field likes to keep everything at an arctic temperature so I have to be prepared!
So, I have a mostly white dress with a blue denim jacket. Throw in a bit of red and you have a cute patriotic look! This bag comes in handy because I get to put so much in it. Baby wipes, extra phone chargers, snacks… I got you covered!
