Happy New Year’s Eve from the Harrison’s!

I’m back home from a wonderful holiday trip to Breckenridge, Colorado with the family and enjoying a peaceful day of unpacking and planning for the New Year (starting tomorrow!). I can hardly believe we are almost in 2018!

I’m taking a moment today to write down everything I was thankful for in 2017 and all I am looking forward to in 2018. Each year, we are offered a new opportunity to reset, rethink, and refill our hopes, dreams and vision for the year to come. It reminds me of the verse in Lamentations reminding us of His new mercies and faithfulness each morning…

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

As I look over the faithfulness of God in our lives over the years, I cannot help but wait expectantly as I ponder all that God will lead us into this year. 2017 was a hard year for many, but it also brought so much joy. We had beautiful birthday celebrations, parties to commemorate the growth of our company, and both Camila and Christian are now in school! Our days are currently filled with early morning school drop-off lines, soccer games, basketball practice and tutoring. They are growing up so quickly—and I am enjoying every moment.

Our company is continuing to flourish and I am in awe as I watch how God uses us to reach people with His love through our business. Field and I both have a heart to bridge the gap between the church and the marketplace, and I am honored that we get to do that each and every day through our careers. I’m excited for the new offices being opened and the interior design ideas I have for each specific location. I pray over every office and love to see when they come together in their own beautiful and unique way!

Equipped by Faith is growing each month and women are being inspired to read God’s Word, create close community and to pursue all God has for their lives. I love meeting with these girls and hearing fresh and transparent truth from our monthly speakers! If you want to join us in the New Year, please check out our calendar here! The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 10th with my friend, Oneka McClellan of Shoreline City Church.

My personal website and blog continue to keep me working toward my own goals and yearly vision each month, and have even opened up opportunities for me to speak at local events and contribute to several published devotional books (coming out this year!). Thank you so much for all of your encouragement along the way. I love sharing my personal online memoir with each one of you! If you have any prayer requests, please visit the prayer request page on my site–I personally pray over every request I receive!

My prayer for you this year is a prayer of blessing from Ephesians 3:16:20…

“I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might as or think. Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen!”

I believe in the power of prayer and in praying God’s Word over our lives, our family and our children. I believe in hope, faith and in re-focusing our minds on new vision each year at the feet of Jesus. I hope and pray that if 2017 was a hard year for you, that 2018 will be a year of refreshing, renewal and blessing for you. I want to encourage you to write out a list of things you were thankful for in 2017 and then another list of your hopes for 2018—whatever they may be. Dream big, and put your hope in our incredible God. He has incredible plans for you!

“For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope!” Jeremiah 29:11

May 2018 be your best year yet!

XO-
