I know I am always talking about the weather from my latest trip to New York, but I can’t tell you how awesome it was that I was prepared. This trench coat came in handy to face the very cold NYC weather. This Texas girl isn’t used to walking around in the cold. Also, it was so fun to finally put these coats I own to good use!
This trench coat is the perfect piece to wear walking around. I will say, that it’s not the warmest coat that I own, but it is definitely useful! First of all, I love the length of this trench. I love how oversized and drapey it is. I would actually wear it as a dress with a long over the knee boot, but maybe some other time.
Balenciaga is easily becoming one of my favorite brands. I absolutely love their aesthetic and fit. I love how throughout all these years, they have stayed true to the Spanish designer, Cristobal Balenciaga’s taste. He loved to make new pieces that were polished and eclectic. It really became one of my favorite lines when Alexander Wang was the Creative Director. However, even though he has moved on, the Balenciaga brand is still amazing!
I wore this look on the day when we decided to go to the Empire State Building. In my recent post, you can see all the fun that Field Christian and I had. We went straight to the top and took some really cute pics! He loved it!
I paired this look with a simple sweater dress and some very comfy boots. Also, I have this fur collar that I wrapped around my neck which definitely came in handy! I love how many ways you can wear this outfit. Luckily it gets pretty windy in Dallas, so I know that this coat will be a staple piece until Spring finally comes!
