This office was super fun to decorate—our team got creative with patterns on patterns on patters of black and white with gold accents.
We started with a custom wallpaper design I love from Dallas Mural. It has a great diamond pattern featuring black and white marble—and I think it creates the perfect backdrop for modern spaces. I used this paper on the main wall and then painted the corresponding wall matte black to highlight our “I love your sexy teeth” cursive neon sign display.
This wallpaper was just the start of the pattern on pattern on pattern design theme we ran with here. We went bold with patterns, placing different patterned black and white designs over and on top of one another—the bold black and white couch with gold accents went against the bold wallpaper and I really love how the black and white chairs pair with the same pattern in the large area rug. It’s as if the pattern flows from the floor to the ceiling, highlighting the neon sign above the chairs.
There is so much you can do with black and white patterns—and in this space, we strategically added gold accent pieces throughout as subtle highlights. You can see them in the pattern of the couch, on the bottoms of the chairs, and in the details of the coffee table. We also added touches of greenery with plants and succulents—adding hints of color to a black and white palette will bring dull spaces to life!
Another way to make small spaces appear larger is by adding a large accent mirror. We added ours above the couch and engraved our #sexyteeth logo on the rounded bottom to give it some special MINTerior flare.
I’m very happy with how this office turned out overall and can’t wait for the people of Woodlands and Sugar Land to stop in!
