MINTERIOR DESIGN – PLANO LEGACY

MINT dentistry now has affordable, exceptional dentistry and patterns on patterns for the people of Plano Legacy.

This office needed a modern upgrade and our design team had fun playing with different patterns and line styles to make this small space appear larger and more appealing.

We landed on black and white sharp lines for the wallpaper against the same style striped rug—and I absolutely love how it turned out! Don’t be afraid to be bold with your design. These stripes compliment each other perfectly because they are so strong. Remember, using skinny lines can make it difficult for the eye to adjust and make spaces appear smaller. When choosing striped lines for small spaces—the bolder the better. 

When planning the interiors for any office I often choose one statement piece to be the focal point of the whole design. In this case, I chose a 4-piece art set of different colored lipstick kisses. These lips are framed right above the couch and allowed me to play with different shades of red, rose, and pink throughout the office.

To keep with my “kiss” theme, I found some XO black and white pillows to pair with the velvet corral red pillows behind them. The center coffee table has a mirrored top to make the room appear larger, and beveled dark metal sides—tying a modern edge into the soft velvet furniture and statement pillows.

But my favorite pieces for this office are the light pink velvet chairs. We needed to find the right hue of pink to pair with the reds and roses we had placed throughout the office, and I think we found the perfect color. This color stands out without being too harsh against the bold stripes.

I thought it would be hard to pair reds and pinks together—but if you stick with the same hue and shade, the colors can actually blend beautifully—making for a modern, yet welcoming room!
