MINTERIOR DESIGN – ADDISON
All of us at Mint Dentistry are so happy to be in Addison, Texas! I love whenever my team and I get to decorate a new office. I always try to conceptualize beforehand what everything will look like. However, every space is different, and to be honest this particular space was a bit tricky. There is one long wall that is separated by pillars which leads to a small nook in the back corner. I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
For the long wall space, I decided to paint it a matte black color. Normally for offices I try to brighten up every single space. However, I had a plan that would brighten up the black walls. I recently found these gold metal art installations and I purchased a few of them knowing that I would need several pieces to cover a wall. Without knowing the exact wall measurements, I decided to purchase ten pieces total. When my team and I measured the wall, we realized that we would need exactly ten art pieces to fill up the space!
So the art installations serve as a layer to the dark black wall. To me, the finish looks like wallpaper! I love the way it turned out. I knew that because we had such a dark space as the focal point of the office, I would use neutrals to set a balance. The light gray colored couch worked perfectly for the area. I chose black, gold, and white decorative pieces to complete the overall style I was hoping to achieve.
Notice how the pattern on the rug almost matches the art on the walls. It’s all abstract and looks so chic. Mixing patterns is a fun way to elevate any room and add a touch of your unique personal style.
I also love the nook area in the back of the room. We placed two chairs there and a really cool diamond shaped mirror that I found on CB2! It’s comfortable for anyone to come and sit while you wait to be treated by the best dentists in the world!
