When it comes to style, I love layering! It seriously makes choosing an outfit so fun. That being said, fishnets are back in style! When working with fishnets, it is important to find ways to make them the focal point of your look. You can wear them with a dress and chunky boots like these, or even try wearing them under a pair of shorts with a loose fit top and cute sneakers.
I’m sure you have seen fishnet stockings peeking underneath distressed denim jeans recently! If not, I think this a trend that you definitely should try. It adds a bit of punk rock to any outfit, and look so cute on everyone.
I wore this outfit on the streets of New York on my recent trip. I left during the afternoon while Field and the kids took a nap. I couldn’t sleep so I decided to pack my backpack and explore. I can’t tell you how much this backpack came in handy. Normally, I would carry around a big bag with everything from extra phone chargers, Camila’s diapers, snacks for the kids, my camera, etc. But taking a backpack is just so convenient. Plus, Field does’t mind carrying it around as opposed to when I make him hold my purse! LOL
I walked around Greenwich Village and found myself praying. I prayed over my family, friends, and every single person who reads my blog. Even if we don’t know each other personally, I’m grateful for you and speak blessings over your life!
This day called for not one, but two jackets! I am seriously a fan of Varsity bombers. The trend right now is finding some that have floral patches or that are made from different textures such as the one I wore from a previous post. They are so cute and go with practically everything! I wore an easy graphic t shirt underneath. Seeing that I wanted to showcase the fishnet tights, I didn’t want to wear anything that was too loud.
I layered this outfit with a long gray coat and some gloves to keep warm. WORD OF ADVICE: Make sure that whatever gloves you buy, you have the capability of texting. There’s nothing worse than having to take your gloves on and off to use your phone! I also wasn’t going anywhere without my trusted beanie! I threw on my most comfortable boots and was out the door. I came back just in time before my kids woke up! It was a great day!
