Wearing a wig can seem intimidating to some people. To me, it was a way of expressing yourself in a new and innovative way.  I love watching people change their hairstyles to reflect their own personal style. So many of my friends wear them for different occasions.

I wanted to be able to play with my look, but I’m not at the point where I can commit to short hair. A wig was the next best option. A while back, I called Miguel of Dallas to create a long wig for me to have fun with. I wore it once on a trip to Napa Valley!  As time progressed, my natural hair got longer so I decided to have him cut his original creation into a short blunt bob.

I love it! It truly does spruce up your style and makes getting dressed a fun experience. You almost feel like a different person.  I wore it with a floral slip dress that I adore. I actually wore this dress while on my trip to Costa Rica. I love all of the bold colors and the overall fit of this dress. It can be worn in more ways than one which is always a plus in my eyes! I’ve layered it before with a t-shirt underneath and a pair of sneakers. I paired this dress with some red pumps and a red bag. Sidenote: As you can tell from the various posts in the Fashion Section of my site, I don’t really like my outfit to be too “matchy-matchy”. However, I love the way the red pops when I paired it with this red bag. It’s bold and makes a statement! Plus, I know that wearing bold monochromatic ensembles is the new trend.

To complete the outfit, I put on this duster coat from House of CB. It’s so lightweight and goes with practically anything. It comes in handy when I need something to thrown on when I’m on the go.

I totally encourage everyone to buy a wig to change up your look. Wear it with confidence! New season- new YOU!

Sabrina
