MINTERIOR DESIGN – MY OFFICE
I love being the interior designer for every Mint Dentistry office. I take pride in the fact that every office has a unique look and style. They all have different appearances, but yet still compliment each other with our signature Mint aesthetics.
When designing my own office, I knew that I needed a space that would make me feel relaxed and focused every time I walked in. I share the office with the Mint Corporate Marketing Team, and wanted the space to identify with their creativity and energy.
My personal office definitely portrays my unique style. It is obvious that I love black and white mixed with different metallics. When choosing the floor design, I decided on a dark marble tile to enhance the white, clean walls.
I always like to add something distinctive to each office space that is unique to that particular location. For my office, I decided on a customized, painted mural. I called my favorite Dallas artist, Courtney Miles, and we collaborated on what my mural would look like. She thought it would be fun to create a self portrait of myself. At first, I was hesitant, but Field talked me into it. He thought it would be artistic and bold, and that it would elevate the office look to a whole new level. He wasn’t wrong. Courtney created a one of a kind, personalized mural for the statement wall behind my desk. She took one of the photos that was on my site, and painted it, beautifully. She is amazing to work with, has an incredible talent and comes highly recommended!
I love adding a hint of pink throughout clean spaces to increase energy and vibrancy in the room. I thought it would be fun to make the peek-a-boo wall behind the restroom entrance, a deep fuchsia color–and it really made a huge difference in the over-all look. It’s amazing what highlighting one wall with a mural or statement color can do for a room.
Overall, I wanted my office to have a sense of style and sophistication. I am so happy with the way it turned out. I enjoy coming to work every day, and love the compliments I receive on my customized mural from clients and friends.
