THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR
It’s the time of year that most Texans dread/love. We are all welcoming the Texas heat. Whether we plan on spending our days out by the pool, or sitting next to the air conditioner sipping sweet tea, this weather is something we can’t escape. Today is reportedly the hottest day of the year. Yikes!
So we are all faced with the question: How do we beat the heat while still dressing cute? I found this amazing vintage inspired tee at Planet Blue the other day and had to have it! My sister loved Def Leopard and I remember singing the song “Pour Some Sugar on Me” over and over with her. Also, I am definitely a fan of this distressed look.
They didn’t have my size in the shirt, so to keep it from being too loose I tied a knot at the bottom. This made it a little bit more flattering in my opinion. Also, I love the way it has a twisted racerback. It is a great little detail!
These cut off denim shorts are so fun and perfect for these hot temperatures. I love these particular shorts because they are longer in the back and shorter in the front. The frayed detail is cool and it takes me back to the days when I used to try to distress my own denim as a teenager! I love that this look is totally back in style. Hello, 90’s fashion!
I paired this outfit with the most comfortable shoes. I recently went to Spain with my husband and wore these shoes everywhere. The chunky platform heel makes it so comfy to walk long distances in while still giving me a little height. The strappy details are so subtle and sexy! Def a new summer fave!
I stacked two different chokers on top of each other because I thought this shirt needed an edgier look. Don’t you agree?
