dream |drēm| noun a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal: She pursued all of her dreams.

Mint Dentistry started off as a dream. An idea. A vision. A calling. Field felt God leading him into the dental industry, and he will tell you himself–it was nothing short of miraculous that he even became a dentist! But through the years, as Field remained faithful and obedient to God, MINT has only continued to grow. When we are obedient to the commands and callings God has on our lives, incredible things happen! As I look back over the years, I am filled with gratitude at all God has done in our lives. I have loved watching how Field has absolutely transformed the dental industry since day one, and I cannot wait to see all that is in store for the years to come!

“If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all His commands, the LORD will set you high above all the nations of the earth.” Deuteronomy 28:1

I’m writing today, not only to honor my husband and the company that he has built–but to encourage you to pursue the specific dreams and callings that God has placed on your life!

Years before I met Field, I had gone to school for nursing, and I hit (what seemed to be) a huge set-back in my life when I decided to drop out of nursing school 3 months before I was going to graduate (and after finishing my clinical rotations)! I literally couldn’t sleep at night because I knew nursing was not what God had called me to do. I then went on to get my Bachelors of Science in International Business. I had never prayed over my career and I was desperate to hear God’s voice. In a moment of prayer, I felt led to –not knowing all that God had prepared for my future. I later went on to get a Masters of Business Administration, as well as another Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.

After business school, I began using both my education and business degrees to teach middle school students through business classes, entrepreneurship and how to explore careers. I didn’t know why at the time, but I followed God’s leading anyway–staying faithful and obedient to Him. I eventually began to sell Educational Software right before I came to Mint. Everything I did in every job that I’ve ever had was actually preparing me for what I am doing today. God will use everything in our lives–the good and the bad–to prepare us for all He has called us to do.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

Now, I absolutely love serving at MINT Dentistry, I’m the lead interior designer for all of our offices and I was able to start the philanthropy and charitable portion of our company through MINT Cares and MINT Gear. I believe God brought Field and I together for a common purpose: to bridge the gap between the church and the marketplace. We do not feel called to be “ministers” at a church, but our greatest desire is to be ministers to all through the business God has given to us. This is the calling God has on our lives, and I love that we get to pursue it together.

What has God called you to do? What are the dreams He has placed inside of your heart? That’s where you need to start. Take time today, to make a list of the goals and dreams you have for your life. I believe God placed those things inside of you! Thank Him for where He has you today, and ask Him to use what you are doing today to benefit your future! I believe there is nothing we could ever do that will take us away from the love or the calling God has for us.

“If God is for us, who can ever be against us? …Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow–not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love!” Romans 8:31-39

You are greatly loved and highly favored! Pursue God, and all that He has promised for your today!
