“This is my command–be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

This week, my family faced an obstacle that could only be overcome with the peace of God.  My beautiful mom had a surgery to remove six hernias that have been affecting her health for some time.  It was a very complicated surgery, and a lot of doctors were scared to do it.  A doctor in San Antonio knew the pain my mom was dealing with, and was confident that he could perform this surgery.  As a family, we gathered and prayed over my mom. I stood on the belief that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and beyond all that we ask or think.  I have found overwhelming peace in Gods presence and trust wholeheartedly that He is still in control. I felt confident in the doctors ability to perform such a complicated surgery.

The surgery was scheduled for the day of Big Brothers Big Sisters Big Black Tie Ball, but  my mom insisted on being present and supporting Field & I at the event and prayerfully decided to reschedule her surgery for Thursday, October 12th.  I flew in from Dallas and went straight to my mom’s side.  She was in such a positive attitude and was full of faith.  It’s always scary when someone you love is going to have surgery, but we prayed together and I told her how much I loved her. The surgery was 7 hours long. Mom has been surrounded by family and friends and is now recovering as planned.  She truly is the strongest, bravest woman that I know. Her faith, resilience and courage are supernatural and an inspiration to us all. Her testimony strengthens faith and renews hope in so many who are praying for God’s miracle healing power.  I ask you to continue to pray for her during this process.

I’m not sure what you are going through today, or if you have been battling a certain situation or unanswered prayer for quite some time. But what I can encourage you with, today and every day, is that our God promises to be with us–no matter what we are going through.

I know sometimes we can feel as though He is far away or not listening to our prayers, but if I know one thing in this life–it is that God’s Word is true, and it can be counted on. As believers, we are called to be strong and courageous–living life without fear of the future or the unknown.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Oftentimes, we can mistake God’s silence for absence. But God does not always promise to speak to us–He promises to be with us. Trust that promise from Him today. God has promised to NEVER leave or forsake you. If you feel far from Him, maybe you are the one who moved. Seek Him today, and you will find Him.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

As believers, we have the authority to approach the day with boldness and confidence because the Lord is with us in all that we do.

If you need provision, our God is your provider.

If you need a healer, our God is the God of miracles.

If you need peace, our God is a place of safety and rest.

If you need wisdom, our God promises to give it liberally.

If you need strength, He will be made strong in your weakness.

Whatever you have need of today, I promise it can be found in Him. I want you to be able to find yourself in a place of peace, rest and trust–knowing that He is right by your side. Confident in the love that He has for you!

“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1:4-5

I want to encourage you today to stop listening to the negative voices in your head discouraging you in your hopes, dreams and aspirations for life. Speak truth to those thoughts instead. Begin praying the Word of God and His promises over your life, and just watch what begins to happen! I believe in the power of the Word of God and in the power of prayer. Start believing and walking in the promises God has for you today. There is no circumstance that is bigger than our God!

I’m praying for renewed faith, hope and trust in Our God today–for you and for me. Be encouraged today, for He is WITH you!

XO-
Sabrina
