home |həʊm| noun 1 the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household: the Harrison home is filled with love and laughter.

Home is where the heart is. It is also where you lay your head at night, wake up in the morning and the place you play with your kids, read your favorite book or magazine, relax, decorate and clean. Our houses become our homes, and we fill them with the things that matter most to us.

I love spending time at home with my family or just working from my at-home office. There are several things that make our house a unique home, and I wanted to share some of my favorite must-have Harrison home essentials with you on today’s blog!

Poo Pourri
(Yes, I’m serious). This amusing restroom invention originated in Dallas, Texas and is found in all of the Harrison Home bathrooms. Their fun slogan, “Spritz the bowl before you go, and no one else will ever know!” recently became popular with their potty products from founder, Suzy Batiz. You simply spray the all-natural oil on the commode before you go, and it prevents unwanted odor before it happens. I love that this spray is all-natural and uses essential oils that leave a fresh, clean scent–without harsh chemicals. I love when I find something that is chemical-free and actually works! This is something I won’t live without, anymore!

Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Candle and Pomegranate Noir Room Spray
The smell of my house when I come home at the end of the day is very important to me. I want it to have a unique smell (and hopefully, that’s a good one!). Wherever we live, I always burn my Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede candle and use my Pomegranate Noir Room Spray. The smell sense is closely linked to parts of the brain that process emotion and memory. I use these scents so much, my kids are going to grow up recognizing them as the smell of the joyful home they grew up in (and I don’t mind that at all!). I would recommend you going to the Jo Malone section at Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus and picking out your favorite scent! They even have amazing perfumes and cologne. Field loves Wood Sage and Sea Salt.

Ubbi Wipe Dispenser
In a home with a busy three year old and a growing toddler, these wipes are a must. I keep a dispenser in every bathroom and kids’ room. It is the perfect size, fitting right into my diaper bag if I need to take it along on a trip and has non-skid protective rubber feet if I just want to leave it on the back of the bathroom sink or on the kids’ countertop. They have 5 colors available for purchase, but I usually just get the white or grey to match my home. This is the best wipe dispenser I’ve found yet!

Suavitel Fabric Softener
Favorite fabric softener? Yes. Mine is Suavitel. I get the yellow, “Morning Sun” Liquid Fabric Conditioner for my family. I love the fresh smell!  It is non-expensive and keeps my family’s clothes soft and clean. I have used this my entire life. It is the best and I love it!

Acrylic Cosmetic Organizer
This is a lifesaver! Well, it’s more of a space-saver, but it feels the same. All of my make-up products are no longer strewn about the bathroom countertop, but now lay organized in my cosmetic cube. The clear plastic makes it easy to find what I am looking for, and keeps me organized when I am rushed and on the go (most every day). I love keeping a tidy bathroom space, and I know Field appreciates it too. Trust me, this is something you want to invest in for your beauty space!

10ft iPhone Cords
We could never have enough iPhone cords at the Harrison home. There are three plugged in on our kitchen counter, two by our bed stands and one by each of our desks. Whether by us, or our guests, they are always being used. I leave spare cords in our cars, diaper bags and at different locations in our Mint Offices. These days, our phones are our lives, and I’m always getting thanked for having extra phone chargers by those who come around with their dying iPhones!

Keurig
The Keurig has graced many homes in the past several years replacing the “out-dated” coffee pot brewers. I still appreciate a slow-brewed cup of coffee from time to time, but the quickness and efficiency of the Keurig cups have made getting ready in the mornings so much easier! We have a Keruig in each of our apartments and in all of our office spaces along with the cup trees that make finding the kind of coffee, tea or hot chocolate you want–easy to find. I’ve been impressed with this brand and idea since day one. Thanks for making our lives less complicated one cup of coffee at a time!

Ninja Blender
I am a smoothie queen, and don’t go a day without using my Ninja Blender. I usually make a protein smoothie in the morning before or after I workout. This blender has always worked wonders, and has no problem blending whatever I decide to put inside of it that day. You can also use the blender for soups, sauces and dips at lunch or dinnertime. I have the large, 72 ounce blender at home, but the smaller, Nutri Ninja Pros work great if you are only making a smoothie for one or two people each day.

Pink Tool Set
Every girl needs a tool set of their own to use when their husbands or boyfriends aren’t around to help. My little pink tool set has traveled with me since college, and it has come in handy so often! You wouldn’t believe how many times I’m able to fix something around the house or hang something on the wall by myself when Field isn’t home because I have it. It’s small and easy to use, even if you don’t know anything about tools! Plus, it’s perfectly pink.

Lollia At Last Bubble Bath
Lastly, something especially for me. At the end of a long day, a hot bubble bath is all I need to relax and rejuvenate for the next day. This Lollia bubble bath is blended with fine fragrances and formulas of Olive Fruit, Avocado Oil and Vitamin E. It makes my skin feel super soft when I get out of the tub, and smells incredible. Just typing this is making me want to light my Jo Malone candle and sink into the tub right now.

Remember, home is where the heart is (and in our case, where the Poo Pouri and Ninja Blenders reside..). Let me know what home essentials you can’t live without, and I’ll share them on my next lifestyle blog!

XO-
