one |wʌn| the lowest cardinal number: to celebrate her one year anniversary…

This month is my website’s One-Year Anniversary, and I can hardly believe my blog is ONE year old! I can’t even begin to express the depth of gratitude I feel for each and every one of you. I honestly feel that YOU have inspired and motivated ME through this new endeavor.

I’ve learned a lot through this blogging experience and met so many kind and interesting people along the way. But what has encouraged me the most is the kindness and support that we have been able to give to one another through this platform.

In January 2015, I started my site as a personal, online memoir: a place for me to share stories, fashion, recipes and encouraging faith posts (all the things that I love). In the last year, it has grown into something I could have never even dreamed of. It has been such an amazing journey, and I’m forever grateful for every single person that I have connected with over the past year because of this site. You have inspired me and blessed me more than you could ever imagine.

It is such a blessing to have access to so many incredible tools that connect our world. I’ve always dreamt of a world without strangers, and the Internet is making my dream come true one day at a time. I can’t help but wonder what the next 10 years will look like, and how many more people I will connect with through this little dream I have.

As I try my best to maintain balance in my family, work, and life–my relationships will always remain an important part of who I am. I get energy from people. Whether it is long-time friend or someone I meet in line at Starbucks, people and connection are what give me life.

I love Jesus and I love His presence. Truly. Madly. Deeply. I can honestly say that I found my life when I laid it down. I have always been able to connect to my purpose more when I’m connected to the source of it. I’m so thankful that my website has created incredible ways to point people to Jesus. I want everyone I meet and connect with to know the hope that I live with every single day as I continue to live by a motto that a special friend shared with me long ago: “Love people until they ask why.”

I have never doubted the importance of connecting with people and building real community by using all the tools we have available in this day and age. As I set out to connect with so many more, I remind myself daily to make the most of every single day by making the greatest impact that I can. As I reflect on the last year, I can’t help but think of how much I really care about empowering others and enjoy watching faith grow, as God does what only He can do through us.

Even when I doubted myself and questioned if what I was doing was really important, I kept working at this dream and vision God gave me. I am so happy that I did, because lasting relationships were being formed all along. I just couldn’t always see that clearly. This dream seemed crazy, unsustainable, and time-consuming on some days. This made me ponder the future of my website, but God went before me to open the way and make it clear for me to understand His plan for my site. Friendships continued to grow. I continued to connect with so many people by capturing and sharing my experiences and growing from yours.

I must say, every month required a different approach to creating what I wanted to share through my blog experiences, but one thing has remained constant: prayer is always a vital part of my blogging process. My weekly devotionals are guided by the Lord and come from a real, prayerful, connection to God. Without Him, my website/blog/social media is meaningless. From the moment I hit “publish” on every post, I begin praying for those who will read my post and believing God will speak to you and bless you in a very special, supernatural way.

I am so grateful for the opportunity God has given me to recognize other people’s value and call out their worth. I have learned that we can’t recognize the worth of others until we know how much God values us. You are His, and in Him you will find every ounce of confidence and worth you will ever need.

As I continue to set my heart on Him, I pray that hope will overflow from me to you–for all of our families, friends, and to those that witness His blessings in our lives. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. I believe God is going to do amazing things in 2017. I love you, appreciate you, and can’t wait to see God’s blessings and favor poured out on your life. I believe God has great things in store this year and is getting ready to accelerate His favor and goodness!

Thank you so much for allowing me to share my life with you. I am so grateful you are on this journey with me!

XO-
Sabrina
