Wishing a very Happy Mother’s Day to each and every mother out there! Especially to my very own, Veronica Guerra. Te amo mamá!

It was a beautiful day in Dallas today. I hope you were all able to enjoy it by celebrating with your families, children, flowers, and some extra pampering. You deserve it!

My family just returned from The Lonestar Horse Races. We went to church together this morning and spent the whole afternoon with family–my mom, my mother in law, father in law, brothers, and friends. I love having family live so close to me! The kids loved the races and kept betting on their favorite numbers and colors as we cheered them on to win.

I am so grateful for my family, and especially for my mother. She is such an incredible example of beauty and strength. Always giving of herself to make sure we have what we need. Always cooking for everyone and always offering to watch the kids. Days like today remind me of how incredibly blessed I am to have her living so close to me, and I know my kids are too.

Even when we have great examples of mothers to look up to, motherhood is not easy. A lot of the “work” we have to do as mothers can seem mundane, insignificant, or draining in moments–but I know that every moment we spend with our children is shaping their character and future.

We have the greatest gift as mothers because we get to help God create a future and a legacy in the lives of our children. What a privilege! I can only hope to be a fraction the kind of selfless, caring, and nurturing mother that I was so blessed to have.

“From everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children…” Psalm 103:17

I know that today can be a tough one for a lot of women who have the desire to be mothers someday. My thoughts and prayers are with the women today who are feeling lonely or who have been struggling with fertility issues. I know there are many women out there who may be experiencing loss, grief, and disappointment from unmet hopes and dreams today.

My heart is with each and every one of you. Praying for you and standing with you in this seemingly dark and empty space in your life. I believe in hope everlasting and redemption for all things. Keep believing–God is with you and for you.

Blessings to all of the beautiful, strong women out there–mothers today, or mothers to be!

Happy Mother’s Day!

XO-

Sabrina
