elite |eɪˈliːt, ɪ-| noun 1 a group of people considered to be superior in a particular society or organization: they were inspired by the young, elite athletes.

I am so happy that my brother and his wife recently moved their family to Dallas, Texas to pursue a dream they have been working towards many years. They have invested a lot of time preparing for this vision, and took a huge leap of faith to make it happen.

Chris, Clary and their kids (my adorable niece and nephew) are now venturing on a new journey as a family by starting-up a new sports program called, “Dallas Elite Athletics” in the DFW area. (Selfishly, I’m most happy that they are living closer to me!)

Dallas Elite Athletics was created as a fun and challenging program with the purpose to equip young athletes with the fundamentals that are required in high-level competition. They hope to encourage athletes to learn and fulfill accomplished goals while challenging them to be disciplined, focused and dedicated. Chris takes pride in encouraging athletes to be gracious in defeat and humble in success–teaching those he mentors to respect not only themselves, but other athletes, officials and coaches.

Chris has always had a desire to mentor young athletes through a genuine faith in Christ and to develop character through sports. When he was younger, Chris was a stand out athlete in high school.  His natural talent and skill attracted many young, ambitious athletes to him–and he began training and mentoring them through the game of basketball.  He received a scholarship to continue his basketball career in San Antonio, and after graduating from college, he continued training and mentoring young athletes. In 2008, he became the Varsity Basketball Coach for men and women at a local high school in Laredo. I’m so proud of him!

His wife, Clary, is also a multi-sport athlete. Her love of sports drove her to pursue volleyball as her greatest passion while she was in high school, and she was able to continue playing on scholarship throughout college. After college, she became a teacher and the Coach for 8th Grade Volleyball and High School Track & Field, and is now a full-time mother and excited to work with Dallas Elite Athletics programs.

Their son Christopher is already a star athlete! You would be amazed to see him play!

I love this couple. They have a genuine love for people and a deep desire to serve the community through sports. I’m so excited to see what great things come out of this program!

I would love for you to check them out at www.dallaseliteathletics.com.

My kids have already been involved in the programs, and they love it. I hope yours do too!
