Bishop T.D. Jakes is an incredibly anointed pastor, best selling author, a leader, CEO, movie producer, television show host and our greatest mentor and spiritual leader. His passionate and authentic preaching style stir and inspire people all around the world to greatness.
He has been named, “America’s Best Preacher” by TIME Magazine, and Field and I are honored to call him our pastor, spiritual father and friend.
We cannot wait until Sunday mornings to hear Bishop share the word of God. It is well known around our home, that Field and I gather our family together and turn on the television to one of Bishop’s sermons every single night before we go to bed. We could not imagine ending our days any other way. These messages transform our thinking and our lives as we are encouraged by the passion and authenticity that Bishop delivers the word of God through.
This year, Bishop T.D. Jakes and his wife Mrs. Serita A. Jakes celebrated 40 years of ministry at The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas. We were honored to be a part of this celebration – a lasting and continuous legacy of declaring the uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ for 40 years and counting. I can assure you that our pastors, Bishop and Serita Jakes are not slowing down anytime soon. They have incredible focus, passion and energy, and are on a mission to share the love and hope of Christ with all of the world.
One of the greatest things I’ve learned over the last few years is the power of surrounding yourself with people that inspire you and people who dare you to pursue your biggest dreams! My dream is to utilize every single gift that God has given to me, in order to make a difference in the world, for the glory of God.
Bishop Jakes has been such an inspiration in my life. He has the rhythm of a champion. The world sees how consistently brilliant he is in the pulpit, in ministry and in business. But I have been blessed to see how he and his wife both pour out God’s love and power in the privacy of their own home–where no one is watching. I’m beyond thankful to have spent quality time with our mentor, greatest inspiration and model of faith!
I’ve been soaking up every word of wisdom Bishop has preached since 2000, and we will continue to support him, his family and his ministry for the rest of our lives.
