I’m so happy that metallics are always in style! Ever since I was a little girl, I always gravitated to all things gold! As you know now, I love silver too, but gold is still my fave! Pairing black and gold will always be in style!

When I saw this pleated skirt, I knew I had to have it! I bought it as a very long maxi, but I needed to make it more functional so I could wear it more often.  I decided to shorten it so you can see the shoes with the outfit.  Beforehand, this skirt was so long and dressy that I didn’t really have options in wearing it.  Shortening it was for sure the right decision for me.  Now, I have the option of dressing it up or dressing it down when needed.  I absolutely love the new length that it is at right now.

For this particular look, I wanted to wear the skirt with cool and casual pieces to make it my own.  I paired it with this amazing bodysuit that I bought to go to a Yeezy concert.  (He cancelled the show, but that wasn’t going to stop me from wearing it.)  This particular bodysuit is tricky because it really is pretty revealing. The exposed parts go all the way down to the navel. I’m not really comfortable with showing that much skin, so I decided to wear a bandeau on the lower part of my stomach. This gives the bodysuit a peek a boo illusion without showing too much!

Seeing that my shoulders were exposed, I wanted to layer on a long vest that I bought a long time ago.  I love the way this vest looks with the whole outfit.  It plays with dimension because it covers all the way down to the skirt.

If something doesn’t fit you right, I encourage you to tailor it! Awaken your inner fashion designer and make it your own! Don’t let pieces just sit there in your closet!

Sabrina
