school |sko͞ol| noun an institution for educating children: They loved shopping for school supplies.

Summer is officially coming to a close, and we’re enjoying getting ready to go back to school in the Harrison household!

Backpacks are being stuffed with new folders, pencils, and other school supplies—and I’m having fun shopping for new back to school outfits. The kids always love this time of year, especially now that they are getting old enough to get excited about their education (most of all: P.E. class, recess, and seeing old friends… LOL)!

We celebrated the end of summer by taking the kids and their friends out to the lake house for one last weekend before school starts. They always enjoy jumping on the trampoline, playing outside by the lake, and swimming until they have absolutely no energy left. I still hope to make it out to the lake house as often as we can during the school year—but we will definitely miss the freedom we have in the summers!

Going back to school is also a great time to get all of those haircuts, doctor’s visits, and dental check-ups scheduled. Field Christian and I just visited MINT together to get his back to school check-up done. He loves to visit his daddy’s work (and I think he loves the green MINT sunglasses and the Beat’s headphones he gets to use while he’s there just as much).

Baby Field is no longer a baby, and he looks so grown up when he’s sitting in the dental chair. I’m always so proud of how good he is when we go (and he’s always proud of how wide he can open his mouth for the dentist LOL).

I’m also proud of how MINT is growing and creating such a warm atmosphere for children and families. We have the most incredible staff in the world and they treat every patient (even our kid patients) with genuine kindness and a welcoming smile.

It is never too early to take your child to the dentist for a check-up or cleaning. It’s good to start dental hygiene practices while children are young so they take care of their teeth when they are older! MINT has great options for children and families—I hope you’re able to check us out and schedule your appointment before school starts this year!

Cheers to healthy teeth and to a wonderful new school year!
