My dear and talented friend, Courtney Miles-Baraff, is preparing for another stunning Dallas, Texas art show–and I don’t want you to miss it!
Courtney’s art has been featured in several Mint Dentistry locations, including my personal office space. After Field saw the incredible mural Courtney painted on my wall, he wanted one for his own office. Her pieces are certainly one of a kind, and make each space unique and inviting. We will always use her work for our personal and business designs. You can also find Courtney’s original artwork and murals in the Bishop Arts area and in Trader Joe’s!
The CourtneyForever Dallas showcase will open to the public for an opening reception starting this Saturday, May 6th at 6:30pm at the beautiful Jen Mauldin Gallery (408 North Bishop Avenue #103, Dallas, Texas 75208). The event will be open through June 3rd, 2017 (during gallery normal hours). Jen has an impeccable eye for the contemporary local art scene, and this gallery puts together a globally inspired collection of the best emerging Texas artists right in the heart of my favorite city!
The artwork for the CourtneyForever showcase observes all of us through the lens of our society’s obsessive hyper-awareness. She has been fascinated by this for over a decade, and has been incorporating the notions of social identity and the cult of fame into her art since her last showcase, Neon Courtney, where she shared self-portraits requiring her audience to face the meaning of vanity.
Courtney lives and works in Dallas, Texas where she received her BFA from Texas Christian University and her MA and MFA from The University of Dallas. She was also an Artist-in-Residence at The Fairmont Hotel in Dallas and a three-time Hunting Art Prize Finalist. Her website is neoncourtneystudio.com.
